Slipknot’s Joey Jordison Unveils New Project
Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison has revealed details of his new project, Scar The Martyr.
Globally recognised as one of the greatest drummers in the world, Jordison was hugely influential in the production and creation of a mass of Slipknot songs. On the latest project, Jordison found a home behind the drum kit once again but also on bass guitar for every track and rhythm guitar on all but two tracks. The album is set to drop later this year via Roadrunner records.
Other members of the band include, Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails), Jed Simmon (Strapping Young Lad), Kris Norris (Darkest Hour) and lead vocalist, Henry Derek.
Speaking of Scar The Martyr Jordison stated, “With this project, I focused my efforts on writing for the better of the song. I wasn’t worried about flash or persona… It’s all about writing a good solid song. I’m writing music that people can grasp and hold on to…something that resonates. If you don’t have that, then you have nothing.”
