Snorkel With Sharks In Fiji

Follow us on Google News

Fiji is known for its blue lagoons, coral reefs and picturesque natural environment. If you’re tired of the ordinary sunny holiday, Fiji’s South Sea Cruises are launching a new and breathtaking series of ‘Ultimate Encounters’ packages starting from 1 April, offering a once in a lifetime snorkel with sharks experience.

The one, two or three day experience will travel willing travellers from Port Denarau on Fiji’s mainland to the delightful island of Kuata to snorkel with Black and White Tip Reef Sharks up to 1.8m long. This impressive new package offers everything and more to those who acquire adventure in their life.

White Tip Reef Sharks are the dominant species of Fiji, being curious by nature, they are friendly but not afraid to check out visitors. Whereas Black Tips are by contrast timid, typically smaller and can be easily identified by the brilliant black tips with a bright white highlight on both fins.

You will be snorkelling in picture-perfect corals, with experienced guides who spend hundreds of hours getting to know the resident sharks and closely monitor shark behaviour to ensure guests that they are safe. Also, if no sharks are sighted, South Sea Cruises guarantee a complimentary cruise within three days so guests can try again.

Kuata Island itself is a place you should only see in person. A dreamland of transparent waters, white sandy beaches, and warm hospitality by the Fijian locals, the Island is idyllic for a paradise getaway. South Sea Cruises offers three different packages, so it’s perfect if you fancy an adventurous day trip, or if want to really breathe in the South Pacific air, you can book a two night stay at Barefoot Kuata Island Resort. So Replace your fear with curiosity, and get to know one of Fiji’s most exotic and sacred species on the enchanting island of Kuata.
