Snowbombing Announces First Acts For 2017

It’s (almost) time to dust off those salopettes and take those ski boots down from the shelf as the ski season is just about on the horizon. Turning our thoughts away from the inevitable demise of European summer and towards the snowy peaks of Austria, Snowbombing have very kindly released a fantastic line-up to get us excited.

Every year, the slopes of Mayrhofen come alive as discerning skiers and and music-lovers flock in their thousands to Austria for a fun-filled week of beer-fuelled debauchery. This year’s festival promises to be no different from previous years with a mammoth line-up recently announced.

On this year’s bill are the likes of  well-known drum and base legends Chase & Status, R&B favourites MK and Skream. Gorgon city will also be making an appearance, alongside Hot Since 82 and Eats Everything, who hosted a pop-up party in local butcher shop ‘Hans the Butcher’, djing to a packed out crowd in the meat lovers paradise. Joining them will also be London-based duo Dusky, My Nu Leng and BBC Radio 1Xtra regular Toddla T. Also joining the line-up after smashing the season in Ibiza is Spain’s wildest and most flamboyant party purveyors Elrow with their creation Elrow presents; the Bronx street party. David Rodigan will also be hitting the decks, transporting you from the snowy hills of Mayrhofen to the Caribbean with his tropical reggae beats. With lots more still to be announced, this year’s line-up is starting to take shape.

As well as an epic line up, expect a host of fun past-times, if skiing and partying the night away isn’t enough. There’ll be an award-winning snow park, the chance to embark on a paragliding experience or the option to dance the night away in an igloo rave at 6000ft. There will be mountain top stages, enchanted forest parties, the infamous pool party and even the chance to find love with some chair-lift speed dating,
