Striking Skylines
Whether skyscraper or mountain range, a skyline can leave you in absolute awe and capture a place in one fantastic view. Holding the depths of a city or the trails of a country, these beautiful skylines are reason enough to travel to their home countries. How many have you had the pleasure of seeing?
Singapore
One of the fastest growing cityscapes in the world, Singapore has grown in leaps and bounds with skyscrapers of epic proportions and imaginative designs. Reflecting on the surrounding waters, the towering buildings and bright lights beckon you to discover what Singapore has to offer.
Uluru
It may not be a range of mountains, but the point where the sky meets the sweeping top of Uluru is simply breath taking. The shadows this giant rock creates, the change in colour as the sun hits it from different angles, and the sheer size of it make the skyline of Northern Australia completely unique.
New York City
One of the most iconic skylines in the world, you can’t miss the concrete jungle of New York City. Made up of the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and the business district of Wall Street, the skyline changed noticeable following the fall of the World Trade Centres, but is still one of the most famous images of popular culture.
Sydney
Something about the curved roof of the Sydney Opera House with the rectangular blocks of the skyscrapers gives Sydney a beguiling sight. No wonder why it’s so picturesque at dusk and so famous for the fireworks at New Year’s Eve.
Matterhorn
The tip of the Matterhorn in Switzerland pointing up to the sky is something that needs to be seen to be believed. A peak that has intimidated many climbers, its prominent place within the Pennine Alps creates a visual well worth capturing.
