Subsonic Festival – 6th-8th December 2013

The annual Subsonic Music Festival is back with a great line up this year. The event, which takes place between 6th-8th December 201, is being held in the picturesque setting of Riverwood Downs Mountain Valley Resort, 3 hours north of Sydney.

The festival celebrates ‘all things beats and bass’, combining a mix of both national and international artists for a weekend described as “an immersive, multi-sensory environment with an unconventional edge”.

Headliners include big names like Chic feat. Nile Rodgers, Electric Empire and Kora, as well as less well known acts such as Australia’s up and coming ‘Rhythm Hunters’ who combine music from Indonesia, Japan and Australia to create a new and exciting sound.

As with most festivals, camping is a big part of Subsonic, but this festival puts a luxurious twist on it. They boast amazing campgrounds by the Karuah River, hot showers (!!), and even a proper bar; perfect for creating the ‘lifestyle festival’ atmosphere they want to achieve, “far from the city and the herd mentality”.

The festival has an age restriction of 18+ but children under the age of 12 will be permitted when accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Tickets are on sale now and cost $160 but for every five bought, they give you one free. So gather your friends together and make sure you don’t miss out!
