Subsonic Music Festival – December 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2011

If you ever find yourself in the Sydney forum, you’ll know there’s a lot of love out there for the Subsonic Music Festival. With a pristine setting in the natural splendour of the Barrington Tops, the three-day ‘camping, arts, music & lifestyle festival’ is something out of the ordinary. After a glowing edition in 2010, Subsonic has pulled out all stops to make 2011 even more special, with the first line-up unveiled today.

At the top of the bill is one of hip hop’s most distinctive baritones, Chali 2na, electronic master Apparat with his four-piece band and Kiwi dub/drum & bass heavyweights Tiki Taane and DJ Sambora. As expected, the line-up runs deep with late-night specialists like Max Cooper, Minilogue and Phil Kieran, plus a whole lot of dub and hip hop sounds thanks to Hermitude, Resin Dogs and more.

Subsonic happens from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 December 2011. Tickets are on sale now, with the ‘super early bird tickets’ sold out and ‘early birds’ moving swiftly. Check out the line-up below.
