Sugar Mountain 2015 Line Up

Keep your eye on the Sugar Mountain festival that will be kicking off on Saturday 24th January 2015. Melbourne’s inner city will be hosting the most progressive music and arts festival in Victoria. It will become a place for creativity to be taken in by the festival goers and celebrated.

Over the past three years, The Forum had been the venue for the Sugar Mountain festival however, this time around there is going to be a move. Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) which is amongst the list of creative hubs in Melbourne will become the new location. The change in location brings the opportunity to expand the offerings by Sugar Mountain and the festival planners are excited to announce what’s new.

With growing support for the festival and more people making the trip to Victoria to enjoy the performances there will be a total of FIVE stages, with three outdoor and two indoor.

The announcement of the acts for the 2015 festival includes a collection of international and local artists, which is another sign of the growth Sugar Mountain is experiencing. Nas will be headlining and the promise of his performance of Illmatic is enough to draw inn the crowds. After releasing his debut album in 1994, it is held high amongst the hip hop albums released to date with some calling it the greatest ever release in the genre’s history.
