Summer Events At Juni Figueroa's Sky Deck
Throughout July there will be multiple summer events at Juni Figueroa’s Sky Deck. Where Edel Assanti presents international interdisciplinary artists, with a focus on work that engages with the circumstances – be they artistic, cultural or social in which it was created.
Edel Assanti was established as a project space in a disused office building in London’s Victoria in 2009, making the transition into a commercial gallery in 2012. A programme of site-specific installations and performance events was a central facet of the gallery’s early identity, notably including performances by Martin Creed and Alexander Melamid, and later the presentation of Richard Mosse’s monumental film installation The Enclave, commissioned for and previously exhibited at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013.
At the beginning of 2015, Edel Assanti opened at new two-floor premises in London’s Soho/Fitzrovia, using the two levels to programme concurrent exhibitions. In 2015 Edel Assanti founders Jeremy Epstein and Charlie Fellowes were appointed to Tate’s Acquisitions Committee.
The drinks will provided by Freud Bar, including a fantastic range of cocktails such as Boris Tea, which consists of Gordon’s Gin, Lychee Liquor, Grand Marnier, Chamboard, Fresh Lime and Ginger Ale. In addition to cocktails Prosecco and Beer will also be served.
