SUMMER SERIES AT SOMERSET HOUSE ANNOUNCE 2014 LINE-UP

This years Summer Series at Somerset House line-up gives the stage to some of the best British and International acts. The array of music ranges from established acts to those who have been hotly tipped to break through in the near future, with all this to be on show at Lonon’s very intimate live music festival which will be kicking off  on the 10th July all the way through to the 20th July 2014.

Opening the festival will be a London based trio called Daughter, an act that has Elena Tonra fronting them. With their melodies that have a haunting feel to them setting the tone for the the show that will be jam packed with atmospheric live performances. Following Daughter, shall be the Dublin based quartet Kodaline who will be performing their powerful emotive blend of rock music, with third on the stage being the Danish singer/song writer Agnes Obel. She is a multiple Danish award winner including Best Album,  Best Female Artist and Best Songwriter of the Year so she shall find the Somerset House stage the perfect platform to expand her audience.

One of the names that jumps out from the list is the famous “Milkshake” singer Kelis, who shall be gracing the stage on the 14th of July and will be performing her great hits with the raw power and soulful energy  that will get the festival buzzing. The next evening will play host the biggest selling new UK act of 2013, Bastille. Their platinum selling album will provide a great selection of songs that will please the music loves from all over.

Franz Ferdinand will be the headline act on the 16th July, with the Glaswegian band back with a fourth studio album the fans will ecstatic to watch the electric indie rockers perform live. The 18th has the melancholy singer song writer Sam Smith headlining the evening where fans can listen to his unforgettable lyrics as he looks to follow up on his great performances from last years Glastonbury and Coachella.

On the finale of the Somerset House Summer Series, the headline act shall be electro R&B act Little Dragon. Yukimi Nagano provides the group with the vocals that are out of this world. The dance act have been showing consistantly through their three albums that they are an act that pushes the boundaries like no other.
