Our adventures of Kangaroo Island are all inclusive of transport, activities, National Park Entry Fees, farm-stay accommodation, meals and Ferry to/from Kangaroo Island.

The Surf & Sun 2 Day Kangaroo Island Wildlife Experience departs Adelaide at 6.15am where we pick you up from your Adelaide CBD accommodation. We drive down the Western side of the Fleurieu Peninsula, before boarding the SEALINK ferry at 9am. After the 45 minute ferry ride across Backstairs Passage (good chance of seeing dolphins) we arrive at Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island around 10am.

On Kangaroo Island

Once on Kangaroo Island, we set off in search of wildlife and adventure. Our guides have the power to tailor the itinerary depending on the weather and the group. With Surf & Sun, you are on an adventure with a maximum of 21 people, giving us flexibility and enabling us to visit the best places at the best times, on every tour.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Wildlife Viewing and Adventure on Kangaroo Island (L&D)

• Depart Adelaide at 6:15am
• SEALINK ferry to Kangaroo Island
• Prospect Hill
• Pennington Bay
• Kayaking at Vivonne Bay (summer program only) OR
• Optional Quad Bike Tour with Kangaroo Island Outdoor Action with Kangaroos
• Flinder Chase National Park
• Remarkable Rocks
• Admirals Arch
• Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary
• Nocturnal Activity; looking at Little Penguins
• Enjoy the campfire

Day 2 – Wildlife Viewing and Adventure on Kangaroo Island (B&L)

• Sand Boarding at Little Sahara
• Guided walk with ranger on the Beach with the Sea Lions at Seal Bay
• Bird of prey show with Kookaburras, eagle and other Australian birds
• North coast of Kangaroo Island
• Stokes Bay
• Snorkelling (Summer program only)
• More photo time
• More sightseeing
• More beautiful beaches
• Pelican Feeding Display at Kingscote
• SEALINK ferry to Cape Jervis
• Return to Adelaide at around 10:30pm

May return with Dolphin Charter Boat or Sealink Ferry depending on weather and other circumstances.

Itineraries often change due to the weather, the wildlife and the adventure of Kangaroo Island!  Surf & Sun guides have the freedom to change itineraries as they require to ensure the most wildlife is seen and to ensure every groups has the best time possible!

You need:

Comfortable clothes & shoes, a water bottle, small day pac
k, sunscreen & a hat, warm clothes for the cold nights, a sense of adventure anything you would require for taking photos, hiking and swimming.

Surf & Sun also operate Learn to Surf Day tours from Adelaide, these depart Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday – November to April.
