Motion is a 1970’s disco and Northern Soul night being held on 9 October (8pm – 2.30am) at the Hollywood Hotel in Surry Hills.
Surry Hills: Motion The first Motion night on 17 July saw 200 punters busting their disco moves with hands in the air abandon, leaving their everyday cares behind and losing it to long lost tunes of the day.
Motion has a vinyl only policy, recognising the effort the DJs have gone to in collecting the greatest sounds from the 1970’s disco and northern soul eras. DJs playing Northern Soul early on, with disco to finish. DJs are Northern Soul Poster Boy, Burn-Hard, Dave Fernandes (HAHA) and Dean Dixon (HAHA).
The Hollywood Hotel is at 2 Foster Street Surry Hills. Cover charge is a very retro $5. And its a pub so the drinks are reasonably priced too.
