Sydney Job Alert: Senior UX/UI Designer l 12 Month Contract l Multiple Extension

You are a Senior UX/UI Designer passionate about innovation and motivated by technical challenges. You’re responsible for leading the design of a commercial website and a mobile app to support an IoT prototype phase. This is a rolling contract which you’ll be working closely with their close knit, consultative team who are passionate about technology.To be the right cultural & team fit, you’ll be hard-working, personable & switched-on with excellent communication skills. You’ll be supporting roles across multiple projects, working with the development teams on a wide range of projects with strict deadlines.You be mentoring Junior UX Specialist, to ensure consistent e-commerce elements (where appropriate) across products to enable increased speed to market and reusability for development

Skills / Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a UI/UX design role
• Experience in working with both Marketing and IT team stakeholders
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and design portfolio
• Strong conceptualisation and visual communication ability
• Strong design skills, production value and attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and associated design tools
• Good knowledge of HTML / CSS
• Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design compositions
• High level of problem solving and critical thinking
• Experience prototyping user journeys
• Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
• Experience with Web/mobile journeys / businesses is essential
• Experience with working in agile teams is preferable
• High level of problem solving and critical thinking
• Ability to deal UCD methodologies
