
Sydney Jobs: Board Support Officer
This vibrant Government body is seeking experienced Board Support Officer to support the Chair, multiple Boards and related Committees and management groups, while acting as the first point of contact and undertaking project activities to assist in the operation of Strategy, Performance, and Governance Unit.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs your role will include:
- Management of all documentation for use by the Board
- Preparing paperwork for meetings including drafting agendas
- Minute taking in meetings
- Follow-up on action plans
- Drafting of both executive and ministerial correspondence, reports, and briefing notes
- Liaise with the media division to provide information and contribute to communications material
- Liaise with other Government organisations, advisory bodies, and respond to stakeholder inquiries
- Following up actions from meetings including the decisions and outcomes of the cases
- Interacting with staff at all levels
- Liaising with Chair and Board members on a regular basis and coordinating production of records, advise and course of information
- Provide project and administrative support
- Other general administration duties including database management and filing.
To be successful in this position you will possess:
- Previous experience coordinating and administering board meetings
- Proven experience designing agendas, taking minutes, and supporting committees
- Effective time management skills
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Confident escalating issues and recommendations to Management
- The ability to interpret and apply appropriate legislation
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail
- Proactive approach
- Previous Government experience in a similar position
