Experienced support workers NDIS (male)

  • Work with one consumer
  • Regular, on-going evening work and w/ends
  • Make a difference to a young man’s life

We are seeking a small team of experienced, male workers to provide on-going support services for a young man who lives in the family home with his parents and siblings. Living with complex behavioural and social needs, he requires understanding and guidance from a dedicated and loyal support team. Longevity is important as he takes time to develop relationships and build trust with people.

Your duties will involve prompting with personal care, general support in socialising, guidance with helping himself (budgeting, shopping, potentially simple cooking, etc) as he prepares to move out to hopefully live away from the family home.

Essential requirements:
  • Certificate III in Aged, Community or Disability Care (or)
  • Extensive experience working in a similar home care environment (or)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Manual Handling competency evidence (or willingness to complete an on-line course)
  • WWCC and NCHRC
