En Route To Melbourne
The coastal route takes in many gorgeous beaches including Jems Bay and The Ninety Mile Beach. If you have an interest in water sports then there are numerous opportunities to surf, water ski and much more. I would recommend The Ninety Mile Holiday Park set in 2 hectares of park land. You can continue the route and visit Wilson’s Promontory and Phillip Island, where you can see some adorable penguins on the beach before continuing the journey through Nowra. Stay at the Coolendel Campsite in Nowra with 250 acres of land across five camping areas. Bombaderry Aquatic Centre, Bombaderry Creek and Bunamin Art Gallery are very close by. You won’t have to look far to find something to keep you entertained.
If you have decided that the inland route would suit you then be sure to stop near The Murray River, which is perfect for avid fishers and it is renowned for the Murray Cod. Stay at the Princes Highway Tourist Park or go Bush camping at Nyah State Forest, where you may even see a Peregrine Falcon. Continue your journey to Albury and stay at Albury Citygate Holiday Park or Albury Central Tourist Park, both of which are close to Belvoir Park and the Hume and Hovell Walking Track.

Whichever route you decide to take you will eventually arrive in busy and bustling Melbourne. Stay at the award winning Big 4 Melbourne Holiday Park, which is a very well equipped camp site close to the city centre. From here you can walk or take a short drive to all of the main sites, including the Royal Botanical Gardens, the National Sports Museum and St Patrick’s Cathedral. Overall it is completely up to you which of these stunning routes you decide to take, perhaps you could even do both!
