Tea Gardens Hotel Garth Brooks Tribute, Friday 18th July
Any fan of US Country music will have heard of Garth Brooks, the singer/songwriter who saw success with ‘Ropin’ The Wind’, ‘In Pieces’ and his self-titled debut. As one of the major players in the genre, Tea Gardens Hotel will celebrate his career with a tribute from Rob Wilson on Friday 18th July.
Touring all the over the United States, Garth Brooks has sold over 100 million records since 1989, reportedly putting him just behind Elvis Presley and The Beatles as the biggest selling recording artist in the 20th century. With multiple number one albums in the Country and Billboard 200 charts, Brooks is the face of Country music in the US, and coincidentally the entire world, alongside his female counterpart, Dolly Parton.
From the early ‘90s, with ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ and ‘Friends In Low Places’, to his retirement in 2000, charitable performances following Hurricane Katrina, and return to the spotlight with shows in Las Vegas and Nashville, Garth Brooks continues to sell albums and plays to adoring crowds wherever he goes.
For a chance to listen to Brooks’ material live, head down to the Tea Gardens Hotel on Friday 18th July at 8pm for Rob Wilson’s take on the legendary Country star’s music.
