Temporary Work Visas for Australia The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) has launched a series of new subclasses for the Temporary Work Visa. The 4 following visas are going to be available for applicants from hereon:
- Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) Visa Subclass 400
- Temporary Work (International Relations) Visa Subclass 403
- Training Visa Subclass 407
- Temporary Activity Visa Subclass 408
In an effort to make the process of submitting an application for a temporary work visa much simpler and easier, the new framework is aimed at seeing red tape for businesses be reduced a significant amount, as well as in the industry and foreign workers by getting rid of nomination and sponsorship requirements for specific short stay activities.
Applicants will now be able to submit an application over the internet, and a single sponsorship (temporary activity sponsor) is going to take the place of 6 sponsorship types that exist at present, and they are as follows: Long Stay Activity, Training and Research, Professional Development, Entertainment, Special Programme, and Superyacht Crew.
