The Bamboos Announce Second Melbourne Show

As they release their fifth album ‘Medicine Man,’ The Bamboos and Niche Productions announce their first show in Melbourne at The Corner has now SOLD OUT.

Anticipation for ‘Medicine Man’ is at fever pitch with Melbourne’s Beat Magazine awarding it ‘Album Of The Week’ this week and plus more glowing reviews promised to roll in on release. You can hear it streaming in its entirety over at Channel [V]’s website www.vmusic.com.au for the week prior to release. Triple J has gotten right behind the album so expect to hear numerous tracks on air over the next few weeks. With the rumour mill surrounding those mystery guests on the tour heating up, all other shows are bound to be at capacity in no time.

Crafted by bandleader Lance Ferguson alongside a who’s-who of international and Australian music icons like You Am I’s Tim Rogers, Megan Washington, Mark Ronson collaborator Daniel Merriweather and Bamboos’ fave Kylie Auldist, ‘Medicine Man’ also enlists the help of US soul-man Aloe Blacc, Bobby Flynn and the band’s newest member, Ella Thompson.

The first single ‘I Got Burned’ featuring Tim Rogers has had massive radio support this year with high rotation on Triple J and even receiving additions on commercial radio, all which resulted with it debuting at #19 on the ARIA Australian Singles Chart. A live appearance on ‘Adam Hills In Gordon St Tonight’ on ABC TV caused a sensation, with Rogers showing himself a deft hand at crooning rock n’ soul. The noir-esque, single shot clip for the song (also featuring Tim and Lance) has also been gaining a lot of attention.

On the road the band will heavily feature the new LP as well as dipping in to past faves from previous albums ‘4′, ‘Step It Up,’ ‘Rawville’ and ‘The Side Stepper’.
