BeatelsThe Beatels In 2002, BBC ran a poll on the 100 Greatest Britons where John Lennon came in at #8. In living memory he would be #3 – (Churchill was #1 and Diana was #3.)

The Beatels It really is time to celebrate Britain’s own Working Class Hero by immersing oneself in his music at The Coogee Diggers, where The Beatels will faithfully reproduce as close to the original as possible two one hour sets.

We decided that we would use Yoko as the dividing point (excuse the pun) so the first set starts with Twist and Shout moving chronologically to finish with songs from Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The second set will feature songs from The White Album, Abbey Road, Let It Be & his solo career. The Beatels will be fresh from Melbourne where a few days earlier they marked the 40th Anniversary of Let It Be by presenting the album’s songs in their track listing order accompanied by the strings and horns of the Dancing With The Stars Orchestra.

Here’s a look at the boys on the roof top of Melbourne Town Hall recently where they replicated the famous roof top session which closed the Let It Be movie. https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1575200335021&ref=mf

Coogee Diggers is a great club for meals so come up early and enjoy a night you’ll always remember.

When: Saturday, 9th October
Where: Coogee Diggers, Carr St Coogee
Cost: $25
