The Bernstock Speirs Bunny Couture Shop
Following the runaway success of their ‘Bunny Cap Shop’ pop up at London’s Dover Street Market, Bernstock Speirs have now teamed up with LOOKK to give their customers the opportunity to customise their own version of the iconic hat.
These exclusive made-to-order pieces will be available in four mix-and-match colours for the cap and bow, and six fabric options for the ears, resulting in a total of 96 unique combinations.
Paul Bernstock and Thelma Speirs have always challenged the traditional ideas of millinery. The pair behind the renowned brand use unconventional techniques in their designs to inject a witty and youthful allure to each piece.
“Everyone knows baseball caps. And then we put the ears on them,” Thelma Speirs said when talking to LOOKK about the birth of the Bunny Cap.
“We always like doing things that tie-in with sportswear and mix it up with something else.”
Since their meeting in 1982, the design duo have quickly established themselves as the industry’s go-to milliners, thanks to their playful and innovative approach to headwear design.
“We just thought it would be kind of cheeky,” Paul Bernstock commented.
“It’s nice to be able to do made-to-order but it’s still in the framework and spirit of what we do.”
“I think it will run…I think that bunny will run.”
