Treat your tastebuds this festival season at these amazing food stalls

It’s all well and good bringing your own food to festivals, and it’s obviously the cheaper option. But sometimes, you cant beat a bit of grub from the food truck to cure that killer hangover. From Glastonbury, Bestival to Download, these touring foodies have got you covered.

Smokestak

Known for serving up insane portions of the best pork and beef, Smokestak have well and truly perfected the art of barbecuing. Feeling pecking whilst waiting for your favourite band to come on? Tuck into some sticky BBQ ribs or a burger over flowing with barbecue glaze. Focussing more on taste rather than presentation, Smokestak are all about the simple but effective.

Pieminister

You’re not eating properly at a festival if you haven’t tucked into a pie or two. One stall that provides plenty of pies is Pieminister, and this year, they have two new pies especially for festival season! For meat lovers, tuck into the Tipsy Chick, a chicken and ham pie that will fill you up perfectly. Fret not, there is also a veggie alternative. The Scrumpea is full of peas, asparagus, fennel and gloriously gooey cheese. Both pies are filled with their famous cider sauce.

Based in Camden, this food stall is the best place for the classic fish finger buttie. With locally caught meat, you will be guaranteed great value for money produce. With it’s mouthwatering breadcrumbs and perfectly crunchy batter, these sandwiches will have you coming back for more.

Anna-Maes

This affordable classic is a favourite amongst festival goers. One of their most popular dishes is the Kanye Western, macaroni with a hotdog topped with onions and bbq sauce – made especially for last year’s Glastonbury headliner. You can also tuck into the cheap Annie Mac, which is literally macaroni cheese, the simple but delicious dish that everyone loves. This affordable stall always has well-deserved queues so make sure to set aside some time if you want some of their grub.
