The Bluetones 20th Anniversary UK Tour
After parting ways in 2011, Brit Pop band The Bluetones are returning for their 20th anniversary tour. This will be the first time they have played together since their last album, ‘A New Athens’.
Described as indie heroes the band contributed hugely to the Brit Pop era. They are still recognised icons for the emergence of the sub-genre. The Bluetones have a strong fan-base that hasn’t forgotten the band’s thirteen top 40 singles and three top 10 albums!
Mark Morris, well-known front man, and the rest of the band are coming back together to perform their best hits ‘Bluetonic’, ‘Marblehead Johnson’, ‘Soloman Bites the Worm’ along with the iconic ‘Slight Return’ (which pushed Oasis off the top).
The tour sets off in Leeds 16th September, and ends in Bristol on Sunday 27th – after appearing in all major cities in the UK. You could call it familiar territory for The Bluetones after touring with mammoth names like Radiohead. Plus the dynamic band has played more than 10,000 shows in over 70 countries in their prosperous career. Catch them now whilst you still can.
