The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club – Saturday 1st February

Man of many talents, Mr Craig Charles – who’s tried his hand at everything from acting and stand-up comedy to poetry and Radio presenting – is returning to Sydney this February to bring the Basement club a party they won’t forget!

Following a sell-out debut performance last year, the British DJ will be returning to the club this year to bring his explosive Funk sound to a brand new crowd, also armed with the talents of Kerbside Collection and Roxie Ray, plus DJ sets from some of the best Funk and Soul DJs around!

With a huge collection of cult TV appearances under his belt, including presenting hit TV shows Robot Wars and Takeshi’s Castle whilst also starring in the long-running British soap Coronation Street as taxi driver Lloyd, Craig Charles is a well-known household name in the UK. But on an international scale, it’s Craig’s Funk and Soul sound that has captured the attention of multiple music moguls worldwide, earning him the chance to bring his eclectic sound to different crowds all around the globe.

With a timetable that had more bookings than his cab firm in Corrie during 2013, Craig has certainly been a busy boy. Alongside presenting his huge BBC Radio 6 show, the DJ has been constantly touring, enlightening audiences with his sounds all across the globe. With festival sets at the likes of Glastonbury, Womad and even Soundwave in Croatia – as well as hosting regular club nights in both London and Manchester – Craig proves his sounds are unrivalled in raising the roof and getting the party grooving.

Joined also by fellow UK-based Disco, Funk and Electro Jazz DJ Russ Dewbury and the hard-hitting groovy sounds of Kerbside Collection, Craig’s Funk and Soul Club will also play host to Jazz diva Roxie Ray, Eastside Radio DJs Jon and Toon and Hip Hop Funk master JC Funkdafied; your dancing shoes will be on fire by the end of night!
