The Girls Of Stereosonic
Check out the ladies that will be taking over the stages at Stereosonic this year.
Nina Las Vegas
A home-grown talent playing the best clubs around the country, Nina Las Vegas started off playing classical piano, entered into the world of radio and began producing mixtapes and podcasts before becoming a DJ herself. From playing a weekly show on triple j to working with Diplo to find undiscovered talent in Australia, she is now the most in-demand female DJ and a big character on social media.
Tigerlily
A huge hit on social media, Tigerlily is just as popular on stage with decks in front of her. Her long dyed hair and unique style make her unmissable, while her residency at Pacha Sydney and 2013 tour with Tiesto have given her the respect and attention she deserves for her work. Now, a staple in the electronic music scene, she has earned herself the title as number one female DJ in Australia by In The Mix and has the skills, style and determination to prove it.
NERVO
If you’ve ever dreamed of beautiful twins that can rock a stage, you’ll want to check out NERVO. Recently seen sharing a set with Steve Aoki, Mim and Liv Nervo have written for fellow Aussie, Kylie Minogue, and have remixed everyone from Katy Perry to 30 Seconds To Mars. They’re already a huge name in their own right, touring the USA with Britney Spears and hosting a night in Las Vegas. Check out their loud and bold sound at Stereosonic.
Alison Wonderland
Preparing for each live show by jumping up and down in a corner, Alison Wonderland returns to Stereosonic this year with an even bigger set than in 2011. Recently completing a national warehouse project that she describes herself as “pretty rad and very special”, Alison’s ‘Calm Down’ EP expresses the addictive electronic sound she is capable of, and which you can see for yourself when she plays at Stereosonic.
Nina Kraviz
Singer, producer and DJ, Nina Kraviz is one of the most significant artists in electronic music due to the fact she does literally everything. Releasing on Underground Quality and Rekids, her debut album echoes her style of working, using her voice as an instrument and capturing the moment by recording “from the first take.” Hailing from Siberia and a strong history with Space Ibiza, let her deep and resonating house and techno wash over you.
