The Griffin Theatre Company Presents Beached

Beached is a production at the Griffin Theatre Company with Gia Carides, Arka Das, Blake Davis and Kate Mulvany. It follows the life of obese teenager Arty who is in desperate need of a gastric bypass. To fund his surgery, Arty joins a reality TV show.

This thought-provoking production questions the intrusive nature of reality TV as representative of the instinctual nosiness of society. Blending satire and black comedy, Beached bares the internal struggle that Arty undergoes to return to a normal weight, and life.
