The Gum Ball 2016

After a break in 2015, The Gum Ball will make a welcoming return in 2016…

A bushland music and arts camping festival in New South Wales, The Gum Ball is a self-confessed music lover’s paradise that’s all about good tunes and great times. Nestled in the beauty of the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, it will welcome local and international artists and musicians – as well as ticket-holders, of course – from 22nd – 24th April for an ANZAC Day long weekend that will be bigger and better than ever.

With still a few months to go, the festival program is already promising great things. The first-round line-up includes Australian rock legends, You Am I; Bruce Springsteen support act, Dan Sultan; and all-round performer, Jeff Lang. There’s also The Cactus Channel, Polish Club, Caitlin Park, Van Walker’s HeartBrokers, Citizen Kay, Bullhorn, Dan Brodie, Suzannah Espie, Astro Travellers and The Buzzard Mix – and that’s just the first release!

To get you ready for the full-day Saturday, you can start the day with a yoga session on the grass, and enjoy a hot breakfast from specially selected eateries. There are some very cool bars providing refreshment, but you can also bring your own food and drink in an esky (cool box to us Brits). There are market stalls to browse, lush grass to chill out on and so many people to meet and bond with over a bit of music.

The live music kicks off at 4pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday, ending at midnight. This doesn’t mean you have to head back to camp. Oh no. Because for those that want to keep the party going, there’s a Silent Disco on Friday and Saturday night, playing your favourite dance tunes until 3am!

Camping is pretty relaxed at The Gum Ball. Find a tidy spot and pitch up a tent, park your campervan or just set up a hammock in the shade and chill!

Tickets to The Gum Ball 2016 are priced at $215pp + GST for the full weekend and $150pp + GST for Saturday only.
