The Inbetweeners 2 Filming Locations
The Inbetweeners lads jetted across the globe to lovely Australia for the filming of their second cinema venture, and it was clearly a great executive decision, as they’re smashing box office records as we type!

‘The Inbetweeners 2’ sees Simon, The Briefcase Wanker and Neil join Jay while he’s on his gap year. As you can probably guess from the first film, the boys don’t enjoy a simple or relaxing holiday. Below is a list of just some of the Aussie hotspots the boys hit up so you can do the journey too! Just try not to defecate yourself, alright?
Gold Coast
The Gold Coast is just north of Sydney and is the ‘theme park capital of Australia’. No doubt Jay and the boys enjoyed Gold Coast’s impressive skyline, natural beauty, many beaches, shopping, nightlife and more. Gold Coast is probably most famed for the Surfer’s Paradise area – it’s literally what it says on the tin: a hippy dippy haven for all lovers of the board.
Byron Bay
When you think of New South Wales, you probably think of Sydney as the number one place to visit. However, with its chilled out beaches, laid-back attitude, and psychedelic twist, make like the boys and spend some time in Byron Bay. It’s certainly one of the must-see destinations in Australia.
Marree, SA
Marree is a small South Australian town with a rich history. The town is situated on a barren gibber plain a few kilometers from the Hergott Springs and, though it’s only about 685 kilometres north of Adelaide, Marree seems to be in a totally different world. You can easily spend a day or two exploring the relics of the town’s railway settlement heyday.
Sydney
Ah the photo you see on all the postcards! Sydney is the state capital of NSW and is the most populous city in Australia. Soak up Sydney’s gorgeous harbour, seductive outdoor lifestyle, and great natural beauty. Don’t forget to give the Opera House a wave as you ride a ferry across the harbour to Manly!
Circular Quay, Sydney
The hub of Sydney Harbour, Circular Quay is situated at a small inlet called Sydney Cove, the founding site for Sydney and Australia. It’s a stepping-off point for most attractions based around the harbour and an exciting place to be on a warm summer’s day. The Quay is a vibrant, bustling place so no doubt the lads managed to offend everyone in their vicinity.
