The Kitchen Safe

A San Francisco designer with a sweet-tooth has created a contraption to stop the likes of him getting their hands on sugary treats.

The Kitchen Safe is a simple concept: a transparent, plastic container with a lid that locks and won’t be released until the time-lock runs out. It can be set for up to 10 days to lock away chocolate, biscuits, crisps and anything else you can’t help snacking on.

It may seem like the answer to your prayers, but be warned, once you set the timer, you only have five seconds to change your mind, and even taking the batteries out won’t unlock the lid.

Of course, once the lock does release, you’ll probably just end up scoffing the entire contents anyway, making the whole idea pretty pointless.
