The Last Shadow Puppets – Aviation
If you say you’re going to ignore something, is that immediately contradicting yourself? We are going to ignore the whole thing where Miles Kane said that thing to that journalist from Spin Magazine. See?
The Last Shadow Puppets are back with a new album and a new single. The new single Aviation comes off the new album Everything You’ve Come To Expect. The Last Shadow Puppets are billed are as supergroup of sorts with some of England’s best indie acts contributing members. Their shtick is to set there style of music to big sweeping scores to create this kind of film music sound. It’s cool. I don’t know how stories Alex Turner has left but we must be reaching the end of his anecdotal shelf life.
In aviation there is some of those falsetto vocals that Turners band, Artic Monkeys, love so much and the kind of pace which dominated the last Album. Their orchestration has always been the best bit about them, that Dusty Springfield French Horn that was all over the last album is missing from this track but the outro promises a lot.
