
The Official Sydney NYE Celebrations 2012
This year in Sydney, everyone is pulling out the stops to make sure that the New Year is welcomed in true Australian style. With extravagant fireworks, top notch parties and plenty of drinks, shows and global DJ’s causing music mayhem to venue’s across the country, the new start to 2013 will not disappoint!
Here at BBM we want to make sure that you get the most out of the much anticipated day, enjoy every second and take away the knowledge that nobody does fireworks like Sydney. Therefore we have planned the whole day out just for you with Sydney’s Official New Years Eve Celebrations, right up until the clock strikes twelve. Aren’t we nice!
Aerial Acrobatics
Time: 6:00pm-6:10pm
What To Expect: Gathering crowds across Sydney’s most spectacular landmark, Sydney Harbour, Matt Hall will thrill you with a fantastic air show.
Pylon Projections
Time: 6:50pm-7:30pm
What To Expect: Not too much of a walk from Sydney Harbour is the well known Harbour Bridge. Here you will be inspired as you witness the north and the south pylons burst to life as the sun sets across the water, projecting huge images onto the pylon’s surface.
Acknowledgement Of Country Ceremony
Time: 8:40pm-8:45pm
What To Expect: Taking place across Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House, the acknowledgement ceremony takes place to show respect for the aboriginal culture and heritage the traditional custodians have with the land. The fantastic Wuruniri music and dance group will provide the entertainment as three vessels from the Tribal Warrior Association assemble on the harbour, north of Sydney Opera House.
After all of the traditional ceremony’s and events have taken place, it is then time for the grand finale, the crème de la crème to top your New Years Eve off with a bang… Fireworks!
Family Firewroks Display
Time: 9:00pm-9:08pm
What To Expect: This family friendly event takes place at the Sydney Harbour and Bridge and is designed for every member of the family, even the little ones to catch a glimpse of the phenomenon that is Sydney’s NYE firework display. The renowned sparkling choreography will definitely light up the Sydney skyline and leave you astounded. It also gives you plenty of time to get your toddlers back home before the late night crowds arrive!
Bridge Effect
Time: 8:45-5:00am
What To Expect: For all you New Years Eve party fanatics this is certainly the one for you! Causing some major explosions across Sydney Harbour Bridge will be the mass amounts of fireworks choreographed especially for the event. The colours, atmosphere and pure excitement will make every minute worth while and should definitely not be missed.
