Rolling Stones Australia and New Zealand 2014 tour

When the Rolling Stones began playing gigs in London back in 1962, everyone thought the idea of a Rock ‘n’ Roll band wouldn’t last two minutes, let alone fifty years and becoming a huge iconic band that have essentially dominated the Rock ‘n’ Roll world. Now having just announced their imminent return to Australian shores with their 14 On Fire tour, it is the first time they’ve toured since 2006’s ‘A Bigger Bang’ world tour.

Mick Jagger commented on the tour saying: “Can’t wait to reconnect with all our friends in Australia & New Zealand. It’s been a while since we’ve played to you all, so we are looking forward to being back on stage & playing your favourite songs.”

The 14-date tour will see the British rock band performing one-night only concerts in capital cities across the country. Until recently, the band had already announced their sold-out show at the reopened Adelaide Oval. Co-organizing the Australian stopover is Frontier Touring managing director Michael Gudinski who said he’s ticked a big feat of his bucket list bringing the legendary band to Australia. “It’s been a life-long ambition of mine to bring the legendary Stones back down under.”

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday 16th December, with a pre-sale from Monday 9th December.

The Rolling Stones’ will cover classic hits like ‘Gimme Shelter’, ‘Jumping Jack Flash’, and ‘It’s Only Rock and Roll’.

There’s strictly one night only in each city, tickets to see The Rolling Stones on their 7th tour in March 2014 won’t last long.

Wednesday 19th March – Perth Arena
Saturday 22nd March – Adelaide Oval [sold out]

Friday 28th March – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
