The Upbeats huge antipodean tour
New Zealand drum n bass duo, The Upbeats, have announced a huge antipodean tour in support of their upcoming project called ‘De-Evolution’.
Terror Snake and Downie Wolf aka The Upbeats have teased new material for some time now, eschewing the traditional album route after 4 original LPs for something a bit different. Their ‘De-Evolution’ project will be a 3-part series released in installments from 22 April until the end of 2016 via Noisia’s Vision Recordings label. Each release will contain 5 new productions, with the upcoming Part 1 comprising of ‘Dungeon’, ‘Elevator’, ‘Doom’, ‘Dr Kink’, and ‘Pharaoh’ (a collaboration with Ivy Lab).
There is no doubt that The Upbeats are masters of the darker side of drum n bass, and they have released music on the scene’s most acclaimed labels including Ram Records, Virus, Commercial Suicide, Subtitles and Lifted Music, alongside other accomplishments like the award winning album they produced for Shapeshifter, and their collaborations with US bass music superstar Bassnectar. Catch them at one of the upcoming dates below…
