The xx Announce Supports For Australian Tour

Ahead of their sold-out Australian tour which begins next week, The xx have announced supporting acts for all shows.

Sydney’s Flume will open for the band when they play Melbourne next Wednesday 18 July at the Forum and in Sydney on Friday 20 July at the Metro.

From UK label Numbers (who released Jamie xx’s 12″ ‘Far Nearer’), Nelson will support Jamie xx at his sold-out solo shows on Tuesday 17 July at New Guernica, Melbourne, and in Sydney next Thursday 19 July at Goodgod Small Club.

The xx recently announced the details of their forthcoming album ‘Coexist’, to be released in Australia on 7 September 2012 via Young Turks / Remote Control. ‘Coexist’ was produced by The xx’s Jamie Smith and was recorded between November 2011 and May 2012 in the band’s own studio in London.
