Thief To Release Debut EP And Single
The Electronic Pop artist Thief will be releasing his debut EP and single over the next few months. With a fresh minimalist sound, the news from the Australian artist is welcomed by lovers of synthesizers and quirky beats.
Formerly known as Thief Urban, the signer and songwriter PJ Wolf is a former winner of Triple J ‘s Unearthed Top Song Competition, and has supported big names in the Electronic music scene including Parachute Youth and Clubfeet. Now he will be releasing ‘Broken Boy,’ the single that is on the tracklist from the highly anticipated EP ‘Closer’. Thief has collaborated with the renowned Brisbane-producer Matt Redlich, who has worked with the likes of Emma Louise, Hungary Kids Of Hungary and Yes You. Together, their work is expected to cause rivalry amidst the music scene.
Having been compared to contemporaries like Metronomy and Frank Ocean, Thief will no doubt be as successful with ‘Closer’. The EP will be released via Rabble Records on 1st November 2013, and the single ‘Broken Boy’ will be available from 6th September 2013.
