Tim Hecker At Howler Bar

Canadian sound artist, Tim Hecker, will arrive on Australian shores in the New Year and will perform in Melbourne on 14th January at Howler Bar.

Tim Hecker originally started off as a minimal techno producer under the pseudonym Jetone, however after releasing experimental ambient work such as ‘Haunt Me’ and ‘Do It Again’ in 2001, Hecker quickly rose to acclaim under his own name. His new work progressed to something more personal.

Captivatingly unique, Hecker’s work has seen him tour the globe extensively, as well as producing tracks for contemporary dance and art installations. ‘Harmony in Ultraviolet’, released in 2006, was recognised by Pitchfork as one of the top recordings that year. Hecker’s work is both highly technical and emotive – a rare experience.
