First place that you have to check out is the Japanese eatery in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Its menu is littered with quality tasting dishes for under $10 and the specialty there are the Gyozas. The small dumplings are both crispy and steamy & juicy, where you can easily find yourself ordering more and more of the addictive dishes. The different Gyozas you can order range from Crispy Pork to Grilled Whole Prawns. Add a perfectly chilled beer or a glass of wine as your chow down to finish off the yummy meal!
Carolina Kitchen

We can’t complain about having a delicious hot dog cooked to perfection with all the tasty toppings and at Carolina Kitchen that’s exactly what’s on offer. For as little as $5.95 its hot dogs and chilli dogs are some of the flavoursome dishes and you’ll have change left over to add a side, perhaps the potato salad or corn bread at $3.95 each. Don’t fancy a dog? The burgers are just as good and you can choose from the hamburger or cheese burger for $8.95 and $9.95. However, you could order a portion of New York Fries that come with melted cheese, sour cream and salsa for only $7.95. It’s win win!

Little Greek Taverna

As you’d expect from a Greek restaurant, it’s full of energy and then there’s the appetising dishes that are great value for money! You’re basically dining in what almost feels like a Greek family’s home with the restaurant family owned and the dishes having a homemade feel. The Little Greek Taverna’s menu has a $6 option of mezedes that include homemade dips, classic zucchini fritters with tzatziki and crispy pastry filled with feta and ricotta cheese. For $10 you can enjoy a plate of traditional yiros (kebabs).

The Bun Mobile

A sense of class has been added to the food truck concept and with Brisbane’s first of its kind, The Bun Mobile offers up some great meals that won’t set you back much. All the ‘buns’ are $8 with the daily special set at $10 and the menu includes the vegetarian and gluten free options too. For the meat lovers theres the slow-cooked Wagyu beef with soy-pickled shitake mushrooms and not to forget the twice-cooked pork version with hoisin and sakura-pickled cucumber. 1kg of Buffalo wings for $10 did you say? At the Tippler’s Tap you may be fooled into thinking that it’s all about the beers but, you can find a variety of yummy dishes to accompany your drink of choice. Also at $10, you can order the hot dog that comes with gherkin relish and mustard if you’re not excited by the Buffalo wings. For a vegetarian option you can order the Grandma Kennedy’s Chilli which is also set at $10. The sliders are all priced at $5 and you can choose from the Pork Belly, Chi-Town or Haloumi (or order 5 for $20).
