Until The Ribbon Breaks Announces Debut EP ‘A Taste Of Silver’
Until The Ribbon Breaks aka Electronic singer and producer Pete Winfield has announced the release of his debut EP ‘A Taste of Silver’.
‘A Taste Of Silver’ is already available in the US and is already creating a huge frenzy on the blogosphere. Soon-to-be released worldwide as a free download from 9th December 2013.
Until The Ribbon Breaks, fuses R&B beats with gritty Synth and prophetic vocals that speak of seclusion, social decay and the collapsing of the world around us.
Besides his own work, Winfield has created a number of excellent remixes (The Weeknd’s ‘Wicked Games’ and Lorde’s ‘Royals’) that have accumulated a bit of buzz and gathered him critical acclaim from UK Radio 1 DJs, Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens alongside sites such as Pitchfork, Spin and Interview Magazine.
The EP features track ‘2025’, which is a dark energetic number focusing on societal misfortunes.
There’s an amalgamation of Sci-Fi sounding productions and pulsating synth beats throughout whilst Winfield’s bleak vocals give it a soulful feel.
Something tells me this wont, be the last we see of Winfield as Until The Ribbon Breaks. With an upcoming release ‘A Taste Of Silver’ and an eight date support slot on New Zealand’s rising star Lorde’s tour, the future is bright for this musician and expect to see him everywhere as of 2014.
