Australian Working Visas
Australian Working Visas If you’re looking into a gap year or fancy having a go at working abroad then Australia is a great place to start as it’s an English speaking country and is also a huge country with some of the Worlds most iconic travel destinations such as Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Opera House, Ayers Rock, The Great Barrier Reef, Ningaloo Reef,Great Ocean Road and more wine regions than we can name.
Australian Working Visas In brief, a working holiday visa grants you permission to work and travel for 12 months in Australia however there are certain terms that restrict you to only work for one company for 6 months. (A good tip if you’re looking to stay on for a while is look for a company that can move you to another company they own after 6 months).

As most of us do after 6 months, you decide you’ve not had enough and want to stay in Australia longer. This leaves you with a few options.
Regional Work
Option 1 is the easiest but will involve 3 months of regional work. Regional work basically means outside a major city, so this could range from farm work to working in a bar in the middle of know where. For more details on regional work follow the link below.

457 Sponsorship Visas
Option 2 for extending your visa for a 2nd year could be to look for sponsorship. This would mean you would need to find a job that will offer 457 sponsorship, which can be a little tricky. For more information on 457 Sponsorships follow the link below.

Spouse Visas
Option 3 is to get yourself in a relationship with an Australian resident. The only tricky part here is that you will need to prove that you have been together for 12 months or more and trust us when we tell you that you’ll need solid evidence to prove this.
