Visit New Zealand This Winter
The Northern Hemisphere is moving into the spring and summer seasons, however, jumping down beyond the equator the southern nations are now into the colder months of the year.
If you are a winter extreme sports junkie then you will already know where you’ll be in the coming months.
New Zealand is one of the top destinations to keep up with the sheet of beautiful white snow that coats the land and it is big on winter sports. From skiing, snowboarding to sledding, New Zealand has it all and we at BBM absolutely love getting our winter gear on and heading to the tremendous snowy caps the the country is famed for.
Check out these exciting and adrenaline rushing videos that will inspire you to clip on your skis, wrap up warm and jet your way down the pistes!
Spending Summer In New Zealand
Joey Vandermeer summer in New Zealand from ON3P Skis on Vimeo.
This is a brilliant compilation, where Joey Vandermeer shows off his amazing ‘Summer Holiday’ down in New Zealand as he takes on the ON3P park ski, the Prester. If you’re an advance skier then the moves that he and his team are pulling off are the norm but, we can honestly say that any of the team at BBM would flat on our backsides calling it a day! If you have a passion for the exhilarating winter sports then you probably have already booked your New Zealand ski trip this year.
Piecing New Zealand Together
Adventure Skiing New Zealand: a Puzzle from beau fredlund on Vimeo.
Don’t restrict yourself to the piste when challenging your skills on a pair of skis or a snowboard. If you are a seasoned pro then you will want to follow the steps of Nick Webb and Beau Fredlund as the pair navigate their way through New Zealand’s snowy landscapes. Not content with the ski travel, the duo even ran their adrenaline even higher as they abseiled down Mount Elie De Beaumont.
Going Off Piste
New Zealand: My Winter Wonderland from Dirt Bag Paddlers Productions on Vimeo.
Winter in New Zealand isn’t all about clipping on your skis or snowboard and tackling the amazing mountains and cutting up the morning’s fresh coat of snow. Once you’ve made your way down the slopes, hop into a kayak and take on the rapids! For most of the year, all the creaks dry up but once the rain pours that’s when all the boaters get excited. Grab your paddles and your boat and have a blast getting soaked while you battle the crashing waters down the creeks.
