Wacom Bamboo Spark, The Electronic Notepad
The Wacom Bamboo Spark is a handy little device which allows you to take notes on real paper and then instantly transfer it onto your phone and tablet. This means you’ll never lose your genius ideas that you’ve jotted down on your travels, which is pretty handy.
Now this isn’t the first product that lets your write on paper and then create a digital version, but it’s definitely one of the best. The first thing I noticed about the Bamboo Spark is the design of it. Everything is so light, carrying it in hand luggage on flights would be ideal, because you’d barely even notice it’s there. The feel of the Spark just oozes class, the materials used in the design are simply pleasing to touch. It might sound odd but that’s a good thing because nobody wants a sharp edged piece of plastic with some screws hanging out of it, jabbing them in the hand every time they reach into their bag for something. This is the complete opposite. You can tell that Wacom have thought long and hard about the design and function of their product.
So how does it work?
The Bamboo Spark basically has a track pad underneath an A5 notepad. It comes with a special pen to write on the paper with and has a sensor in it which the track pad picks up, from there you have to connect your phone via bluetooth and you can send it over with a simple touch of a button. This is great if you’re like me and you jot down something important such as an address or phone number and then say to yourself “I’ll put this somewhere safe.” only to realise ten minutes later you have no idea where “Somewhere safe” is anymore. With the Bamboo Spark, that safe place is your phone or tablet.
