Weekend Students Adventures Across Europe

Follow us on Google News

Since launching Weekend Student Adventures in 2010, Andy Steves and his team of passionate local guides have opened up the continent of Europe for students and budget travellers from all over the World.

Andy studied abroad in the Spring of ’08 in Rome, Italy where he was inspired to see the best of this incredible country and making the most of Europe’s budget airlines, and all the while balancing his studies. Cultural capitals like Dublin, Prague, Budapest and Barcelona were at his fingertips and WSA strives to make them as available to you.

By the end of his semester, Andy was organising trips of 30+ friends around Italy, and that’s when the business opportunity for student travel struck him. He returned to university and began developing the concept for a weekend tour service for students abroad in Europe. His first tours were run in October of 2010, and they’ll be celebrating the sixth year of WSA as an operational tour company, having gone from strength to strength ever since.

Andy spent the first years developing itineraries and recruiting excellent local guides who call each city their home town. WSA’s guides are now an established selection of travel experts who have a real passion for off the beaten track gems and have a deep knowledge about their local town. The entirety of the trip is planned to a T, including dining options and guests’ accommodation in the best European hostels.

WSA tours and travel services now span three-day city visits across 13 cities, three week long break trip itineraries (Central Europe, Italy and Ireland), and an innovative travel product called Detours. Detours are hand-curated three-day itineraries that package accommodation and sightseeing, allowing customers to book a Detour, show up and connect the dots at their own pace, blending the best aspects of a guidebook with the efficiency of a tour without sacrificing any independence. WSA stands by the tag-line ‘show up at the hostel, and we’ll take it from there’!
