What makes Beats Travel different to other tour companies?
Beats Travel is different from other tour companies because we provide our guests with the chance to experience and participate in the local culture whilst revolving each tour around the best music festivals and underground events in each country visited. Owned and run by young travellers, who can relate to the target market, they understand and appreciate that people are looking for a new and innovative experience. Beats Travel is different in that we have built strong relationships with emerging music artists and DJs from all over the world. Unlike other companies we focus on the music as much as travel and culture.
How do you decide where to take people on a tour?
There are a number of factors we take into consideration when creating a new tour location. Usually the team will decide upon an area in the world that can deliver a unique experience for our passengers with an even balance of music and culture. We work very closely with our artist affiliates in creating our tours so we can offer Balkan warehouse parties to raves in the Indian wilderness.
We work very hard on making each tour bring something different whether its more of Island life and exploring the gems of Croatia or hustling and bustling of the streets of India.
Who is a typical Beats traveller?
The typical Beats Travel customer would be someone who is looking for something a bit different out of their experience, is passionate about music and looking to explore further than your standard tour. Young travellers who are exited to explore more unique and up and coming festivals and locations.
Why do a group tour with Beats Travel, rather than visiting the destinations/festivals solo or with friends?
A group tour with Beats Travel will give you a real insight into the countries visited, with the added bonus of taking the hassle out of all arrangements from organising transport, accommodation, festival tickets etc.
Our Beats Travel guides love to share their experience and knowledge in each location. Passengers will have optional walking tours and be given the chance get a real understanding of each area visited, taking in as much of the history and culture as you want to in-between the festival, dancing and pool parties.
With music partners from all over the globe for each tour, we will take you to the secret locations and cult nightclubs. Beats Travel will give you the chance to meet some of our artist affiliates such as Calavera and Manya who will be playing at the Dance Arena at EXIT Festival. We make it our goal to give you an experience that you will not forget.
Where’s the best festival you’ve ever been to?
EXIT Music Festival in Serbia is, hands down, the best music festival we have ever been to. It is such a good mix of different genres of music and the vibe of the festival is so energetic and positive. The cultural history of the festival (it started as a student protest) makes it more meaningful for locals and travellers alike. The festival has been voted the Best Major Music Festival in Europe and it is no surprise why. Being able to jump from the Dance Arena to the Main Stage to see the likes of Rudimental, Milky chance, Martin Garrix, Skrillex, Faithless and even Gloria Gaynor, just makes the festival such a crazy and amazing experience. EXIT also has a stage for local Serbian artists and DJs to collaborate with each other on a public platform. It really showcases the diversity and talent that can be found in these Balkan countries.
Magnetic Fields Festival in Rajasthan, India blew our minds from start to finish. The location of the festival is in 1700’s palace just a few hours away from the city of Jaipur. It was one of those festivals that only the locals seemed to know about and there were very few tourists. The festival was held over 3 days in December and you had the option of sleeping in the palace or as we did in the Bedouin tents outside in the desert. In their own words they describe Magnetic Fields as a visual dream, a unique marriage of contemporary culture with Rajasthan heritage and hospitality. The boutique festival brought in names from techno acts of Dj Koze, to live performances from the likes of HVOB.
