What To Expect On Dub FX 2015 Australian Tour
Dub FX has become a global bass music sensation since travelling the world in his van. Now playing the world’s best festivals and stages, he is set to bring his Theory of Harmony tour back home to Australia next month.
Commenting on the shows, he explains how it’s very much a live version of his most recent release and reason for the tour, ‘Theory of Harmony’:
“I wrote this album with my live show in mind, so I think it translates well. I find it a lot easier transmitting my essence live than in the studio.”
However, his Australian leg of the tour is not solely Dub FX. Bringing musicians on the road with him, he explains why he chose to create a three-piece live show:
“I did it pretty much by myself for the first eight years apart from having guest MCs with me. These days I like adding more musical instruments to the show to make it more colourful – mainly because once the audience sees me build up a few tracks by myself layer after layer, it gets a bit tedious, but with musicians we can get straight into the music a lot easier and quicker so we can get stuck into performing the song.”
