Hailing from the frontier lands of coastal Qld and now a long term resident of inner Melbourne, Dan Kelly has forged an intricate and humorous path into the hearts and minds of Australian music lovers over the last 6 years. Dan’s third record, 2010’s ‘Dan Kelly’s Dream’, brought Dan and his new Dream band 5 star reviews, ARIA and AIR award nominations and widespread radio play across the country. Doors 8PM
https://www.facebook.com/richardinyourmind
Starting out in 2006 as the recording project of former roommates Richard Cartwright and Conrad Richters. Cartwright spent eight years working for the St. Vincent DePaul, amassing an enormous collection of forgotten vinyl that would inspire the sunny, eclectic, psych-fried sound he and Richters were now making. With a suitably flamboyant live show, Richard In Your Mind quickly raised eyebrows and ears on the Sydney scene and beyond. The bands current album ‘Sun’ is their most cohesive and beautiful album yet. After an impressive 2010 with the release of ‘My Volcano’ in which the album received glowing reviews, gained the band an AMP nomination, leading to appreciating the bands music. Ding Dong personally invited the band to come and play the new venue in August. Shady Lane (Syd) and locals Lowtide will be sharing the stage with them for this wintery show.
