Marathon sets are what all the rave is about today. The hipster kids are blogging about it, cutting edge music magazines are writing elaborate features on the phenomenon. Have you got what it takes to dance along to extended DJ sets that take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions you haven’t felt since been a kid? Does the DJ? Who knows! Only one way to find out huh… Expect rap bangers, rump shakers, rock slayers, and club jams as the DJs twirl and the bar staff spin. Visuals live from PixelAngel. Free Entry!
FRIDAY 30 December – 10pm – COSMOLOGY
The final installment of Cosmology for 2011 is upon us. Between glazing our hams, jotting down our resolutions and purchasing Michael Buble’s Christmas Carol albums, we reckon there’s one more chance to bust a move at Loop. This time, we’ve left the gates open and will be allowing the ghosts of Cosmo past and present to grace the decks and welcome in the eve of a new year. There’ll be drinking, merriment and most importantly of all – some of the best goddamn music you’ve ever heard being played. It’s gonna be great, just like the reunion episode of Cheers, minus Ted Danson’s giant head. But you never know, someone else may be there with a massive dome who looks like him…anything’s possible at Cosmology. Jem The Misfit on visuals.
