Formed in Sydney more than ten years ago, the Alister Spence Trio brings together three of the most engaging, innovative and experienced musicians in Australia with a rapidly growing reputation overseas. Leader of this original jazz outfit, Tom O’Halloran conducts the occasional orchestra, composes classical music, plays wild old analogue synthesizers and even breaks out the rock guitar. A seasoned international performer, Tom’s latest album We Happy Few won the 2009 (ABC) Limelight Magazine award for best jazz achievement.
