After four long years of waiting the 2014 World Cup is here. If you’re in Sydney CDB (City) by Circular Quay then Ship Inn will be your best bet for the 2am and 8am kick off’s. If you want to watch the 2am matches be sure to get in before 1:30am as Sydney CDB has a lock out law in place meaning you’ll need to be in the venue before 1:30 at the very latest.

Opening from 5am for all the breakfast games, the Palace Hotel at the Haymarket end of George Street is definitely going to be a good shout for anyone hunting for a pub around this part of town. A great option for people who want to watch the games in a great venue with like minded football fans from all over the world.

Pyrmont Bridge Hotel
If you’re in Pyrmont, Glebe or by Balmain looking for a pub with amazing atmosphere and and plenty of large screens to catch the games then the good ol Pyrmont Bridge Hotel is for you. If you’re out in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney on the hunt for a watering hole to watch your team battle the other nations then the Coogee Bay Hotel is by far your best shot of getting anywhere close to the atmosphere you might get from being at the games in Brazil.
