Parklife: Manchester’s biggest festival returns to Heaton Park this summer with a host of big names from the world of pop, indie hip-hop and electronic music. With headliners last year including Wu Tang Clan, Fatboy Slim and Rudimental, it is safe to say they have not let the standards drop.
Celebrating their seventh anniversary this year, Parklife have confirmed some of their biggest headliners to date with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Chase and Status, Major Lazor, Wolf Alice and Bastille headlining over the course of the weekend.
The Chemical Brothers will be taking the stage in their hometown, after the release of their eighth studio album ‘Born in the Echoes’ last year. These electronic superstars will be bringing their high-energy sets and breath taking stage visuals to the hometown crowd.
NWA’s Ice Cube has been scheduled to play following the announcement of his new album ‘Everything’s Corrupt’, which is to being released this May. Sunday will see Major Lazor headline, with the likes of the King of Grime Skepta playing before. You can also expect to see BBC Sound of 2016 winner Jack Garret perform in front of what’s sure to be an excited Heaton Park crowd.
Being in Manchester, arguably the dance capital of the UK, Parklife have also added an array of the world biggest DJ superstars this year including; MK, DJ EZ, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones and Ben UFO.
The Festival will take place on Saturday 11th June to Sunday 12th June. Bringing together 35,00 music mad revelers who are all itching to soak up the Heaton Park atmosphere.
