
Wilderness Festival 2015 Summary
Wilderness Festival 2015 concluded on Sunday, and as the last festival revellers made their trek home through the Oxfordshire countryside, smiles were all around. Following a gleaming weekend of the rare summer sunshine, Wilderness goers enjoyed a concoction of eclectic music, gourmet food, wild swimming, literature, arts and culture.
This fifth season celebrated glamour in all forms with sequins, feathers and glitter dusting the arena, creating a spectacular sight. The crowd was left awestruck as a giant glowing puppet appeared with a singer attached to its chest. Surrounding, were 52 acrobats suspended in the night sky 40m up; definitely a defining moment for glorious Wilderness.
Activities available included lake swimming, sumptuous lakeside Spa treatments and theatre performances. For literary lovers, captivating debates, talks and workshops were buzzing, and not forgetting the culinary delights from Michelin-starred chefs such as Raymond Blanc, Niklas Ekstedt and Angela Hartnett, offering delicious banquets for all.
The three main headlines of Wilderness 2015: Bjork, George Clinton, Parliament & Funkadelic and Ben Howard provided special moments throughout the weekend and performed to their best. With music catering for all tastes, the young and old can enjoy a memorable weekend together.
Other highlights included workshops in Firewalking, how to make love last and how to stay calm. All workshops at Wilderness Festival are aimed to enrich the mind, soul and body, providing a revitalising and relaxing experience.
Wilderness Festival 2015 was artfully curated and expertly executed whilst thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Strongly recommended as a wonderful and unique festival, be sure to keep an eye out for next years tickets.
