Work and Holiday agreements for Australia and Ecuador https://www.migrationexpert.com.au/australian_immigration_news/2017/Feb/846/ecuador_signs_new_work_and_holiday_agreements_with_australiaThe Department of Immigration and Border Protection made an announcement on the 19th of January 2017, that Australia and Ecuador have both signed Work and Holiday Visa agreements however, the agreement with said country has not been implemented as of yet.
Ecuador however, joins countries such as Hungary, Luxembourg, and San Marino in the list of nations newly appointed in the Work and Holiday visa program.
There are 3 new Work and Holiday subclass 462 visa agreements between our country and Hungary, Luxembourg, and San Marino, and they all took effect on the 1st of January of this year. Because of this, applications can now be submitted.
These visa arrangements are going to allow up to 200 young individuals from Hungary, 100 from Luxembourg, and another 100 from San Marino every year to have an extended holiday of up to 12 months in Australia. During their stay, they can look for a short-term job and study.
Because these arrangements are reciprocal, each country is also going to allow the same number of young individuals from Australia to undertake short-term work and study in their respective countries.
